Principal
Brian Swire is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), and has a Masters in Tax (MST). His focus within PBM is to assure clients understand and can work through complicated business tax issues with ease, while providing insight into the principles of taxation and the healthcare industry. He works diligently with clients to help them develop strategies to grow their practices, while implementing tax savings and compliance policies. Brian always looks to find clients simple solutions to complicated problems they face with their practice and works to help clients better understand the finances of their practices to make better well-informed business decisions.
PBM has been home to Brian since 2006. He manages the Tax department, where he works to coordinate the firm’s tax season as well as provide guidance to clients in several areas of taxation. This includes corporate, individual, partnership, estate, gift, trust, and not-for-profit tax. In addition, Brian meets regularly with his client to discuss strategies to implement to grow their practice and look to improve clients’ overall net worth.
Brian is a native of the northern suburbs of Chicago. In his free time, he enjoys watching Chicago sports teams, running and weight training, traveling, and spending time with his family. Before choosing the accounting profession, Brian began his professional career as a high school history teacher. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in History Education from Southern Illinois University, and has a Master’s Degree in Taxation from Northern Illinois University. In the future he plans to continue his education in the field with supplemental certifications that will help serve his clients.
